The principal architect of the Constitution of India

Ambedkar was a prolific student, earning a law degree and various doctorates from Columbia University and the London School of Economics, and gained a reputation as a scholar for his research in law, economics and political science. In his early career he was an economist, professor and lawyer. His later life was marked by his political activities, where he became involved in the negotiations for India’s independence campaigning by publishing journals advocating political rights and social freedom for Dalits and contributing significantly to the establishment of the state of India. Welcome you all to visit this site of Dr. B. R. Ambedkar Satabarshiki Mahavidyalaya, Helencha, only 13 years old, established in 2005, but promising and has the capacity to flourish in all aspects. The college, affiliated to WBSU, Barasat, is located in an eco-friendly and sprawling atmosphere where air is clean and fields are green, a beautiful natural ambience that makes the college an ideal centre of learning, a prime need to make the dream of Dr. B. R. Ambedkar comes true. In order to meet the increasing demands of higher education in the locality the college has been founded in the year of 2005 in the name of the great son of India Dr .B. R. Ambedkar.
