BRASS FUND
FEATURES
1. Full Name :
B.R.AMBEDKAR SOCIAL SERVICE FUND
2. Recommending Body :
A Committee, shall be called BRASS Committee, comprising Vice Principal, Bursar and Accountant.
3. Beneficiary :
a. Ex-Students of our colleges having Family Income Less than Rs1,20, 000/ per annum.
b. Families under BPL Category of our five (5) adopted villages. (Name of the Villages-Kola,Kumarkhola, Parmadan, Kantakhali and Sagarpur)
4. Coverage :
a. For the beneficiary under the category of 3(a).
i. Severe illness/disease which requires prolonged and expensive treatment.
ii. Fatal accidents.
iii. Repairing of assets/houses damaged by natural calamities such as rain, flood, cyclone, earthquake and fire.
b. For the beneficiary under the category of 3(b).
i. Repairing of assets/houses damaged by natural calamities such as rain, flood, cyclone, earthquake and fire.
ii. Severe illness/disease which requires prolonged and expensive treatment.
iii. Forced social customs/rituals which need some mandatory expenditure.

5. Application Procedure :
i. Application should be made to the Principal stating the reason of help clearly with requisite documents proving the eligibility for financial help from the BRASS Fund.
ii. Principal will then forward the application to the recommending committee,BRASS Committee, for necessary verification from available sources and recommendation. On successful recommendation payment will be made as per the payment procedure of the college.
6. Fund Generation :
Initially the Fund will be generated transferring Rs10/ for each admitted student from ‘Students Welfare Fund’. It means if 1000 students get admitted then 1000 x 10=Rs10000/ will be transferred for the creation of ‘BRASS Fund’. From next academic session Rs 20/ will be collected from every students at the time of admission to each year (1stSem, 3rdSem & 5thSem) for this Fund.
Donations from different individuals and agencies may be accepted for this Fund with necessary intimation to GB.
7. Mode Of Deposit and name of the Bank for operation :
Fund amount would be deposited in SBI, Asharu Branch in MOD a/c.
