Seminar & Workshop

Each Department of this college regularly arranges Inter-Departmental Lectures for the benefit of the students. A special lecture was arranged by the Department of History on 6 th December 2016, on the occasion of death anniversary of Dr. B. R. Ambedkar. Dr. Hitendra K. Patel, Professor, Department of History, Rabindra Bharati University, Kolkata was invited to deliver a lecture on Dr. B. R. Ambedkar.

 

On 15 th February 2018, the Department of Political Science arranged a special lecture on “Decor of the Constitution of India and the Philosophy of Swadeshi” by Dr. Mandar Mukherjee, Associate Professor, Department of Political Science, Shri Shikshayatan College, Kolkata.

 

The College also celebrates Women’s Day in every year and special programmes are usually arranged for the observation of 8 th March. The college also celebrates “International Mother Language Day” in every year.

 

The IQAC of this college arranged a workshop on “Study in Europe” on 12 th August 2017 to enhance the cooperation in higher education in collaboration with European Universities and Institutions. It was an interactive session with European Higher Education Experts in India and students of our college. IQAC of this college organised a “Legal Awareness Camp” on 29 th November 2018 on contemporary legal issues, prevalence of legal service act and legal
services institutions, role of students or educated persons in the context of legal service act and legal awareness movement. In this Camp our distinguished Speakers were Addl. District Judge, Secretary DLSA, North 24 Pgs, SDO, Bongaon, SDPO Bongaon, OC, Bagdah Police Station. On 5 th March 2019, a special lecture was arranged by IQAC and Shri Prosenjit Pramanik, Librarian, P. N. Das College was invited to deliver a lecture on “Use of E-resources in Higher Education, Teaching and Learning”.

 

A special lecture was organised by Language Departments (Bengali, English and Sanskrit) on18th February 2019. Dr. Biswajit Karmakar, Assistant Professor, Hoogly Women’s College was invited to deliver his lecture on “Proyukti Vyavaharer manastattwo O Sahitya Pather Manastattwo
